Luers boys slip past Dwenger

Bishop Luers freshman J.J. Foster hit the game-winning basket to secure a 70-69 victory at Bishop Dwenger on Friday.

Tyrell Johnson led the Knights (5-2, 2-1 SAC) in scoring with 20 points, and Foster added 17.

The Saints (5-2, 2-1) were led by Grady Eifert’s 24 points.

Boys

CONCORDIA 68, SOUTH SIDE 51: At Concordia, D.J. McCall scored 25 points to lead the Cadets (4-5, 2-1 SAC). The Archers (1-7, 0-3) were led by Trae Masten who scored 14 points.

SNIDER 67, NORTHROP 40: At Snider, Devlyn Williams scored 22 points, and Trey’von Covington added 14 for the Panthers (6-4, 1-2 SAC). Jajuan Starks led the Bruins (4-6, 1-2) with 10 points.

Girls

NORWELL 53, CARROLL 50: At Carroll, Hanna Smith sank a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the Knights (9-3, 2-2 NHC).

Stephanie Conrad led Norwell with 20 points, and Smith added 15.

The Chargers (3-11, 1-3) were led by Kiersten Murphy’s 14 points.

BISHOP LUERS 73, BISHOP DWENGER 54: At Bishop Dwenger, Allison Butler scored 17 points for the Knights. Addie Reimbold and Shayla Sutorius each had 15 points for the Knights (10-4, 2-1).

Greta Winklejohn scored 24 points for the Saints (2-10, 0-3).

HOMESTEAD 76, EAST NOBLE 33: At East Noble, Josie Fisher scored 18 points and Sydney Buck 17 for the Spartans (11-1, 4-0 NHC).
